How exquisite is the special edition Moto Razr V3i DG?

There is a very thin line between craze and obsession. Earlier, we thought that Mortorola’s preoccupation with the Razr was just a Freudian act of cashing on the phone’s success. But now. Motorola is sort of getting obsessed by launching variations of the same phone, the Dolce & GABBANA (D&G) version being the latest one. Our advice to the company, stop milking the same cow, you have already shown your capabilities with the Razr, now prove that you can do it again by giving us something radically different. And we know you can do it.

Exclusively Yours;

First things first. The D&G version of Motorola’s V3i became the talk of the town much before it was actually launched. Part of this hype was due to the D&G branding and the rest because of the special edition tag that was attached to the handset initially. The message was clear: there may not be a D&G for everyone and that you’ll have to be extraordinary to possess one.

Extending the brand;

Talking about the handset; crafted in shades of gold, the Moto Razr V3i DG looks like the Razr V3i spirited with the Midas touch. The Midas in this case obviously is our Italian duo Dominico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. However, we wonder how successful the Midas effect would be in casting its spell over cellphone lovers, considering that in terms of looks, the handset has nothing new to offer; it has the same looks and features, only a different colour and branding, and a much higher price tag. If you are one of those who get lured by brands. You might want to get the Phone for yourself. However, a serious user might actually find the golden colour a bit gawdy.

Features : If you don’t already know, welcome to the planet, stranger. Where have you been? Anyway, in sum – stereo FM radio, live updates, music ID, wireless music, special music buttons, and of course, a gorgeous touchscreen and 2.0-megapixel camera to top matters off!

Personality Match : You live up to the phones name – you rock! You are dedicated to music and care about nothing else. Not for you the hassle of lugging you MP3 player and cell phone at the same time – for you it is ‘music on the go, all the time’. You have a penchant for flaunting the phone and you are either young or young at heart. In MotoRokr the looks are really superb and the feature is not up to the mark. Most of the people love to listen the music but only with MP3 player people have to listen the music. In this phone there is no FM radio.

motorola_aura1

The Motorola Aura as the name suggests has an Aura of elegance around it. We can safely say that it is one of the extremely good-looking devices that we have ever seen. The design of the phone has been inspired by luxury watches. The phone has a swivel from factor with the world first 16 million colour circular display with 300 dpi resolutions.

Turn the phone around and you will see its internal mechanism through a small circular glass window at the top of the back panel. The Swiss-made main bearing, gears composed of Rockwell 50-55 hardened steel and 130 precision ball bearings enable the smooth functioning of swivel function.

The keypad is convenient to use and the patterned D-pad at the top centre adds to the over all look of the phone when opened. The Motorola Aura has a circular menu and the screen saver clock makes it even more it even more enigmatic.

Needless to say many jaws dropped when we flashed this phone in public. Thus, Motorola has again scored when it comes to phone’s looks and design.
